Changes/Improvements:

  1. A new "Plug&Play" version of the BYOM driver now enables installation under Windows in combination with a Klick&Show transmitter without the need for administrator rights.
    (Note: The driver components required for this are loaded via the Windows Update service after connecting a transmitter. The loading process typically takes 2-3 minutes. If in rare cases the driver is not automatically loaded and executed even after this time, please check your Internet connection or open Windows Settings -> Windows Update and click on "Check for updates" to initiate the loading process manually).
  2. New filter/sort function in the Klick&Show Appto be able to filter the selection list after a scan of existing base devices in the network for faster access.
  3. Optimization of the home screen design with the introduction of a new Klick&Show icons, Klick&Show file names and redesigned pop-up notification windows.
  4. This firmware version ensures the compatibility of K-FX base devices with the Klick&Show 4K transmitters and is mandatory for their use.
  5. When using the Klick&Show 4K transmitter, the 2 function buttons provide direct access to the following functions:
    Button 1 ("-"): Switch between split and full screen display (in split mode),
    Button 2 ("="): Pause transmission (freeze).
    Both functions are also available when using the Klick&Show App button.
  6. The "Pause transmission (freeze)" function, triggered either by the function button on the 4K transmitter or by the Klick&Show Apphas been optimized and now overlays the access parameters at the top of the screen.
    This allows participants who join the meeting later using either Klick&Show App or native protocols can be offered assistance and the parameters required for a connection, such as device name and PIN, can be briefly displayed.
  7. The link/URL displayed in the animated Klick&Show home screen to download the Klick/Show App ("KlickandShow.com/client") can now be customized if an administrator wishes to make the driver available at a different location (e.g. in the internal company network) and wants to display this accordingly on the home screen for users.   8. The options for using a customer-specific home screen have been extensively optimized. A loaded custom background can now also be displayed in full screen mode without the network status bar that was previously superimposed at the top of the screen.     (Note: a customer-specific individual logo can no longer be used in this situation).

Changes/Improvements:

  1. A setting option has been added to the web configuration menu to hide the date and time display on the Home screen. This can prevent the display of inaccurate times if the date/time has not been configured manually and/or devices cannot communicate with online time servers.
  2. In the "Wireless Network" web submenu, the option to configure the internal access point is blocked if the administrator is connected wirelessly to the web menu at this time, as otherwise their connection would be interrupted. A corresponding message now appears to make the desired changes via a wired Ethernet connection.
  3. Optimization of stability and performance for transmissions with Airplay

Bug fixes:

  1. The problem that has existed since the introduction of Apple macOS version 14.1 Sonoma, which led to an error in the installation routine of the virtual BYOM driver from Klick&Show and as a result the installation of the video driver failed, has been fixed. Due to stricter data protection guidelines in macOS Sonama, please refer to our notes on macOS Sonoma in the "Documentation" section of this page.
  2. Fixed a bug where the playback volume was too low in combination with the third-party video bar Yamaha CS-800.

  1. Distorted audio output during USB conferencing with BIAMP TesiraFORTÉ X audio products.
    To resolve the phenomenon, please change the BIAMP TesiraFORTÉ X please change the factory default setting of the "USB Channel Counts" in the "USB X Initialization" context menu from "Mono" to "Stereo".
  2. Clicking on the help icon ("?") in the MacOS client App (where a hyperlink refers to a redirect to the Klick&Show online manual) can lead to an unexpected termination of the application.

  2. Elimination of a security vulnerability that could lead to a visible password on the home screen when configuring the base in one of the "infrastructure network modes" (Wireless Infrastructure or LAN Infrastructure).

  2. The BYOM function of this release is not compatible with MacOS Sonoma 14.1.
    A change implemented by Apple in MacOS Sonoma 14.1 in the MacOS operating system leads to an error in the installation routine of the virtual BYOM driver of Klick&Show. This causes the installation of the video driver to fail and no signal from the remote USB camera is available on the laptop for web meetings.
    The wireless image transmission from the laptop to the main display via transmitter, via Klick&Show Client App or via Airplay protocol, remains unaffected by this.
    Previous versions of MacOS, including Sonoma 14.0, are fully functional.

  1. Completely new design of the Klick&Show user interface.
    The user interface of the Klick&Show product family has been completely redesigned to be more modern and intuitive, including the Home screen, the PC client for Windows and MacOS, and the web menu interface.
  2. The Home-screen can now be customized in a more flexible way by:
    - individually loadable Home-screen pages, where up to 3 single pages are now automatically merged to an animated Home-screen,
    - a separately loadable customer logo,
    - an adjustable font color for the Home-screen status bar to allow a color scheme adapted to the loaded logo.
  3. New digital signage feature that automatically displays online content when the system is not in use for a meeting. Klick&Show system is not in use for a meeting. The digital signage function can be configured extensively regarding URL (web address), display times, display days, type of display (full screen / with status bar).
  4. New "window" feature in the WirelessMedia client that transfers only the contents of a selected application window instead of the full desktop.
  5. Miracast on Windows now supports touchback for use with interactive displays (1 touch point). The feature is available in both Miracast modes, Miracast Direct mode (Peer-2-Peer) and Miracast Infrastructure mode (MS-MICE).
  6. The web menu has been comprehensively expanded and now offers a "dashboard" at the admin level, which displays the most important configuration parameters at a glance, as well as a "setup wizard" that guides you step-by-step through the configuration during initial startup.
  7. When displaying several contents at the same time (split-screen function), the maximum number of contents (4, 3, 2 or 1) can now be defined in addition to the window layout. With only 1 content, a direct switchover takes place when a participant changes.
  8. In the security settings, the number of predefined security levels has been reduced from 3 to 2 for a better overview. As before, a "user-defined" setting of individual security parameters is possible as an additional option.

  2. Fixed a bug where using the USB-C transmitter did not work on the USB-C port of the iPad Pro 12.9″ (iPad Pro 11″ was not affected).
  3. Fixed a bug where using the WirelessMedia Client for macOS on a MacBook Pro with M1 processor gave an incorrect rendering of the transferred content.
  4. Various enhancements to increase compatibility with third-party USB conference devices.
