Implementation of the function Near-field detection. The Klick&Show base units use a combination of ultrasound and Bluetooth to enable the user's laptop to identify the base unit in the room and, if desired, even establish the connection automatically in order to simplify the connection setup for purely software-based use.
Note: The near-field detection functions are available for K-FX Plus base units with article number 7488000362 (hardware version 2), which will be commercially available from November 2025, but not for K-FX Plus base units with article number 7488000360 (hardware version 1).
Integration of a WiFi analyzer in the web menu of the Klick&Show base unit, which simplifies the search for a free WiFi channel during commissioning if the base unit is to be operated in access point mode.
An option to select the WLAN channel width has been added. This allows administrators to select the specific channel width for wireless connections, including settings such as HT20, HT40 and HT80.
The UCC Device Manager now offers an optimized speaker test signal in the USB Audio section to better assess the playback quality for human speech in online meetings.

Troubleshooting:

Fixes a bug that caused the transfer of the extended desktop under Windows when using software-only with Klick&Show App leads to incorrect behavior.
Fixes a bug in the Klick&Show App for MacOS, whereby the manual IP-based search and the "A-Z" sorting of base devices found in the network did not work correctly.

Known Errors:

Caused by a bug in Apple's iOS26 operating system, an Airplay connection setup can fail in certain cases if security level 2 with required Airplay code entry is preset. Without code entry (in security level 1) the problem does not occur. A workaround already implemented in this firmware minimizes the frequency of this phenomenon.

The largely revised Klick&Show App for Windows and MacOS now allows software-based wireless transmission of laptop content in resolutions up to 4K @ 30Hz or 1080P @ 60Hz instead of the previous 1080P @ 30Hz.
Implementation of the innovative "dual desktop" function, for simultaneous streaming of primary and extended desktop in BYOM meetings.
Implementation of the "Share local content" function, which enables the main display to be mirrored back to the laptop so that local content can also be shared with remote participants in a BYOM call. The now optimized function also displays a red frame in the main display to alert all local participants to its use for security reasons.
Implementation of the new "Start BYOM" function. This function can be used to Klick&Show K-FX Plus in such a way that the BYOM function (and thus the automatic start of the App when connecting a 4K transmitter) only takes place after pressing a correspondingly assigned function button, otherwise K-FX Plus behaves like a "BYOD" device.

Optimization of the home screen design with the introduction of newly designed pop-up notification windows.
When using the Klick&Show 4K transmitters, the options for customizing the 2 function buttons have been expanded and now offer direct access to the following functions:
full screen, pause (freeze), HDMI switching, share local content, camera switching, USB hub switching.
The language translation of the possible options for the customer-specific adaptation of the 4K transmitter function buttons has been optimized and standardized.

The options for using a customer-specific home screen have been extensively optimized. A loaded custom background can now also be displayed in full screen mode without the network status bar that was previously superimposed at the top of the screen. When using the third-party product Sennheiser TeamConnect Bar S/M, attempts to adjust the output volume using the infrared remote control will result in an error.

A new "Plug&Play" version of the BYOM driver now enables installation under Windows in combination with a Klick&Show transmitter without the need for administrator rights.
(Note: The driver components required for this are loaded via the Windows Update service after connecting a transmitter. The loading process typically takes 2-3 minutes. If in rare cases the driver is not automatically loaded and executed even after this time, please check your Internet connection or open Windows Settings -> Windows Update and click on "Check for updates" to initiate the loading process manually).
New filter/sort function in the Klick&Show appto be able to filter the selection list after a scan of existing base devices in the network for faster access.
Optimization of the home screen design and introduction of a new Klick&Show icon.
Newly designed status icons on the home screen show the operating mode of the connected UC devices with K-FX Plus hub switching:
BYOM operation on the user's laptop or wired signal forwarding to a stationary PC.
With new 4K transmitters, the functional assignment of the 2 function buttons can be customized. The following can be selected:
USB hub switching, camera switching, display content release (of the main display), HDMI switching, pause transmission (freeze).
The new "USB SWITCH" button on the K-FX Plus is deactivated at the factory to prevent incorrect operation. After enabling the button function, you can choose between the following operating modes: automatic switching, BYOM only, USB-B host transfer only.
A setting option has been added to the web configuration menu to hide the date and time display on the Home screen. This can prevent the display of inaccurate times if the date/time has not been configured manually and/or devices cannot communicate with online time servers.
In the "Wireless Network" web submenu, the option to configure the internal access point is blocked if the administrator is connected wirelessly to the web menu at this time, as otherwise their connection would be interrupted. A corresponding message now appears to make the desired changes via a wired Ethernet connection.
Optimization of stability and performance for transmissions with Airplay
K-FX Plus now allows Airplay transmission with up to 4K UHD resolution.
The new dual-screen function of K-FX Plus can be configured in 3 operating modes: Mirroring, 4+1, 1+4.
Option for customer-specific assignment of the 2 GPI contacts on K-FX Plus. The following options are available: USB hub switching, camera switching, HDMI switching.

Bug fixes:

The problem that has existed since the introduction of Apple MacOS version 14.1 Sonomawhich led to an error in the installation routine of the virtual BYOM driver of Klick&Show virtual BYOM driver under MacOS, which caused the installation of the video driver to fail, has been resolved. Due to stricter data protection guidelines in MacOS Sonama, please refer to our notes on macOS Sonoma in the "Documentation" section of this page.
